An odd question

So, I have an odd question.

If a character is pretty much a spirit and is referred to as "the God King of the Primordium" (but whose original body is, well, ambiguous to say the least), what gender would you classify them as?

From just that, I personally would say "male".

Okay, now suppose this spirit of a "God King" is possessing the body (or shell of a body) of a female. What gender would you now refer to this entity as?

This is where I get confused.

Finally, if you were to pair this God King (in the female shell) with a male, would that be considered het, slash, or something in between?

Thoughts? Comments?

I still stand by my initial response when you asked this of me last night: yes. Or, all of the above. We need an option D on this.....
"It". "It" might be an acceptable option, yes?
"It" could very well work.
This is a tricksy one, dear. Let me add my two cents...

From the title "God King", I would classify 'male', otherwise you would've use(d) "God Queen of the Primordium". If this spirit of a God King possesses a body/shell of a body of a female, I'd still say 'he', because it's the spirit of a (male) King. So what his basic form is, as a God King, male, stays male, even if he's in the body of a female.

Therefor I would consider a pairing of a God King in a female shell with a male still as slash. It's not the question whatever body he, she or it possesses, it's the nature of the spirit what it's about, in my opinion. So if you know the spirit as the God King as a male, he'll stay male, whatever female, animal, ambiguous or unidentified body he possesses.

These are just my two cents, of course ^__^. In case you're really confused, I'd say, go for 'it'. It defines something and yet something not, and it's not really gender specific. But if I were to write about the God King, he'd definitely be male in my book. ♥
I guess it would be sort of like if Yuugi had been female, while Atemu was male, but not, since it's not like Yuugi is completely subsumed by Atemu; he can always take control of his body back again, while the female shell in this case can't. I think that, more than anything else, makes go with the God King the one I think of the body now as male-ish.

But when I say the God King's original body is "ambiguous", well, I mean ambiguous like this, even though now it looks more like this.

So, yeah, "it" sounds good.
The first 'ambiguous link' is indeed far more 'it' than the one of the second link, if you know what I mean. :) I still say, that if the spirit was male, it doesn't matter how ambiguous his/her/its body is at the moment, it's still the male spirit possessing it. So male!Pharaoh would be still male, even if it had been femme!Yuugi to solve the Puzzle. This is confusing, but fun XDDD

But in this case, I indeed think that 'it' is the best option.
