Verdant
This is my table for Verdant. So far I've managed about 1800 for JulNoWriMo. It's not a terrible amount.

What's bad is that I want to be working on my sekkrit fanfiction project or finishing Automatic Paranoia rather than work on Verdant.

It's funny to me that my best writing song right now for Verdant is "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne... but the best overall musical group for my writing right now is Epica.

I finally got up that new mood theme that I had been meaning to use.

And now back to writing. I have a minimum of almost 1600 words still to go for today. Best of luck to me!

(And in regards to Dragon*Con, Azkadellia is still on, but the Victorian dress is out... and Illyria is in. Yeah, two sorta baddies in one con. I rock like that.)

Another writing fiend evening

So since my last post, I added another 800 words, bringing me to 5306 words written in the last few days. While it's still not spectacular, it's nearly half what was previously written, which makes it pretty damn cool, IMHO.

(Why, yes, I am gearing up to retake the blog cursing meter meme. How nice of you to ask.)

More than being proud of writing nearly half what I had already written, I've had some particularly good bits of "Lizzyisms" since I started back writing. Like:
"Really, it was a good thing I hadn’t brought Murdock with me after all. He probably would have broken out in hives from the cleanliness of this place."
Because Lizzy is really that fun.

Sorry for the weirdness. I'm still on my first cup of coffee. Yes, I'm linking to LOLcats. Big whoop.

And I have cracked up the Doc Hikari with the comment: "Dammit, the Russians took over and now LJ doesn't suck anymore". This is, of course, in response to their current charity of choice being PFLAG and clearly stated clarifications of their new policies. I don't know what what to do with this sudden lack of suckage.

Writing fiend

So since I started back writing, I have done almost 4600 words. I still have a bit to go yet today, but I think so far I'm doing fairly well. If you consider all the distractions and "help" from the kitties I've been receiving (including Aya sitting directly between me and the screen and Roo showing every possible view of his lovely orange tail and bum), then I think I've been doing fucking fantastic.

In other news, I have no time for anything else.

Also, Doc Hikari said the funniest thing about my music today: she called it "LiTunes - like iTunes but with cooler, more kick-ass selection". To celebrate, I'm playing the best selections of mullet rock. :D

Makes me want to try

So I got this crazy idea in my head. I decided that I was going to do a challenge per month from now till NaNoWriMo. In other words, I was going to write a certain amount of words per day (the number of words depending on the day, with the number depending on the month. Something like this:

June = 1000 words per day x 30 days = 30,000 words
July = 1700 words per day x 31 days = 52,700 words
August = 1500 words per day x 31 days = 46,500 words
September = 1500 words per day x 30 days = 45,000 words
October = 1500 words per day x 31 days = 46,500 words
November = 1700 words per day x 30 days = 51,000 words

For a half year total of 226,700 words.
That's going to be split between Verdant, Ash, and Azure. I'm shooting to have each one of them over the 90,000 words mark. Once those three are in a good place, then I'm going to start busting my butt some on Hunter's Path and some of my other projects. And I'm taking December off. Because even I need time to recoup.

And within those plans comes Dragon*Con, Halloween, Thanksgiving, tons of birthdays, one anniversary, and possibly a vacation/trip to D.C. (if it can be arranged). The latter will be a research trip, though; photos of D.C. (and a walking knowledge of the city area) would be so very helpful. That, or I'll ask everyone who goes there to take me LOTS of photos.

My slack offs of the day have been running to two Wal-Marts in search of an air filter and watching about three episodes of Dragonball Z.
