Apollymi ::||:: Dark Passion Play

Okay, first off, I'm a bit sad: Fan Plus Friend says they can't do the corset bit of my Azkadellia costume. I haven't heard why they can't do it yet, but that was the last update I heard. So I might be stuck finding a whole new costume already, since I haven't heard anything back from the other query I sent out on it 2 months ago.

I do have one idea for a dress. I like this one, but I want it with the dress black and the frill lace in red/dark red. So I'm trying to find a pattern we can edit to make that, in cotton broadcloth and lace. We might use this dress as a jumping off point and add sleeves and such from there, just extend it to ankle length in the front as well and add the front lace up.

After so much searching I may have finally found the pattern for the second half of my Maeve costume: the over-vest. And it's just Simplicity 3629. Finding the material might be a little harder though, but one step is down on the way towards it.

Anyway, my morning free time is almost over. Time to start getting ready for work. Ciao!

(1) Lolita dress - 95% ready

----- need to hem pettiskirt
(2) Tousaka Rin - 92% ready
----- need longer skirt, must locate one in closet or in mall
----- need to purchase black thigh high tights
----- need to purchase red shinys

Anime Weekend Atlanta Costume Status - 20 September 2006
(1) Lolita dress - Same one from D*C, should be done by this point
(2) Tousaka Rin - Same one from D*C, should be done by this point
(3) Touzaku'Ou Bakura - 90% ready
----- need new shenti, so I can breathe in costume
----- need new anklets
----- need to purchase new braclets and rings
----- need to practice making the scar


This is the part of con season I dislike most: the rushing to get ready.
